The bottom line is that you're a troll with a hard on for Apple. You would be wrong yet again. Apple is nothing more than a company that makes fringe computer hardware, adequate digital media p_layer_s and a flashy but feature-poor celllular phone. The company itself suffers from the inability to retain market share when they have the clear advantage (witness the Apple IIe) and is somewhat pompous in continually thinking that they know functionality and need better than their customers. I have owned my Apple products over the years and found them all to be the same in one regard- they looked good and were simply adequate for the job at hand. In another ten years, people will talk about Apple as they do about Sony today- they had the potential to take the market by the horns and blew it. I have no hard on for Apple- their relevence (like your own) is something that will soon only be available in the history books.

Over 50 fart apps... [for iPhone] Maybe pre-teens should not be allowed to have cell phones. I'd be willing to bet that pre-teens didn't develop a single one of those. Probably not most of them. But if pre-teens (OK, maybe teens too) didn't have iPhones, there'd be less market for fart apps . Well, pre-teens and drinkers of cheap beer.

As a developer and a free market type, though, I have a somewhat negative view of the App Store and the marketing behind it. I find it reminiscent of the type of shit Microsoft tried to pull back in the 90s for any Mac applications built using their cross-platform tools (and that others tried before and since, but not so blatantly). how is the apps store like microsoft's cross platform tools?
