The top spending on online shopping in Asia

Despite the economic crisis, consumers' lieferanten polen bauunternehmen polen online spending in Asia last year were slightly higher than twelve months earlier. The report prepared by Visa shows that in 2008 people in Australia, Japan, India, South Korea, Hong Kong and Singapore made the purchases at an average of $ 3,109 online. "Our study shows that online retailers appear to be robust in uncertain economic times," - said Mohamad Hafidz, regional head of the Visa e-commerce. The most common categories were travel-related purchases, as the airline tickets were issued on average 970 dollars per $ 647 of travel agents and accommodation for 527 dollars. In turn, taking into account these countries separately in the past year on most purchases online made the people of Singapore (U.S. $ 4,018 on average), followed by people from Hong Kong (3,791 USD), India (3,442 USD), Japan (2,972 USD), South Korea (2,472 USD) and Australia (2,382 USD).

pvc discount Operation: Hexayurt!
Sexy Wabis! As many of you know, Andy Martin and myself are hella excited about hexayurts. What are hexayurts? As you may remember from one of Andy Martin's previous messages, hexayurts are super-cool (in all senses of the word), highly-reflective and well-insulated tent-like structures that stay cool like nothing else on the playa. Tired of your tent turning into an oven at 9 in the morning, forcing you out after only four hours of sleep? Then a hexayurt might be the thing for you! You can find out more here: http://www.appropedia.org/Hexayurt_Playa. Our current plan is to build two hexayurts: one 8' hexayurt (dubbed the 'One True Hexayurt', and the best-documented and -tested of all the hexayurts (basically, if hexayurts are the Linux of the structure world, 8' hexayurts are Ubuntu)), and one 6' stretch hexayurt. The 8-footer will be used as a communal sleeping space for all who want it and as a secondary shade structure/storage area, while the stretch hexayurt will be used by Andy Martin and myself as our personal nap shack. Now, where do y'all come in? Well, the hexayurt will not take a whole lot of work (4-5 hours of pre-playa preparation with 3 or 4 people, and an hour of setup with 3 people while on the playa), but it will be slightly tricky to track down supplies at a good price. It would be cool if we didn't have to buy anything, but unfortunately I don't think items like Thermax or bi-directional filament tape are salvageable so there are a few things that we need to go to the store and use default world money to purchase. Thus, I have assembled the following three lists: *items we need to buy*, *items we hope to borrow*, and *items we are looking to salvage *(obviously the lists that these items are on aren't final and are completely interchangeable (e.g. if we can salvage some panels that would be awesome - it just doesn't seem too feasible (nested parens ftw))). I will also make a page for these lists on the Google Group once it stops being a buggy foot-dragging ho-bag. *Note: The below wish list is only for the communal 8' hexayurt. Andy* *Martin and I will take care of obtaining the materials for our own stretch hexayurt - though if we could get a bulk discount by grouping our orders that would be totally rad.* *Items we need to buy * Basically, items that will be absorbed into the hexayurt and not returned to their owners, or which are highly specialized/somewhat costly and are unlikely to be salvaged from anywhere. *Please let us know if you know a good place where we can purchase these for cheap*. - 240 yards bidirectional filament tape (3M 8959 is the tape that the website recommends) - 13 sheets of 1 thick Tuff-R, Super-Tuff-R or Thermax. Only one side (the outside face) has to be foil. Do not use the bendy bright pink or blue polystyrene boards you see - they are too flexible and smell bad. - 12  6 long pieces of PVC pipe for the tape anchors. - Six rolls of 3 or wider foil tape. *Items we hope to borrow* These are items that we're hoping that sexy Wabis own which we will be able to borrow and use for our own nefariously delicious ends. *Please let us know if you own any of the below items, and would be willing to let us borrow them in exchange for beer/backrubs/bacon.* - A heavy duty snap-blade craft knife to cut the panels, and one packet of extra blades. The blade should be extendable at least two inches. - A 16'x20' tarp (14' x 16' would work, too). - A 10 ft very straight 1 x4 or other device we can use as a ruler. - A one gallon pump sprayer with a misting feature (not necessary, but very useful for cooling off the hexayurt during the day). - A truck (or really big car) that we can use to transport the hexayurt paneling once we track down a supplier. The vehicle should (at the bare minimum) be able to carry 13  4' x 8' panels. Bonus points if you want to drive, since I suck at driving anything larger than a bicycle. Triple awesome bonus points if you have a massive bike trailer. - Matresses, pillows, blankets, Snuggies, etc. Basically, anything that would make the communal sleeping area more cozy. *Items we are looking to salvage* Hopefully, these items can be salvaged from construction sites/_base_ments/dumpsters*. **Please let us know if you know of a place where any of these items can be salvaged. * - 12 pieces of rebar (~18 or so). - 100 feet of rope. - Bubble wrap or foam pipe insulation (to pad the ends of tent pegs). Now, a word on cost. Andy Martin and I will gladly pay for the communal hexayurt if need be (and we will, of course, pay for our own stretch hexayurt), but we would be honored if folks want to donate some money to help pay for the supplies. We don't want to take any money out of the general fund for this - since it's an unofficial skunkworks project - so it would be wonderful if we could get monetary donations. Camp Wabi would be in possession of the end product, so your monetary donation will go towards helping keep sexy Wabis cool and well-rested for (hopefully) many burns to come. Anywho, now you know about hexayurts and are hopefully as excited about them as Andy Martin and I! Let either of us know if you have any questions about the endeavor, or any cool ideas for how to snazz up the communal hexayurt. Cheers, Derek P.S. Sorry for the long and spammy email. It would be much less so if Google Groups felt more like cooperating. P.P.S. Actually, I'm not sorry. Hexayurts are totally worth it.
